Sustainable House Day

We had a great day on Sustainable House Day. The weather could not have been better and we had well over 200 people come through. Cathy was busy all day doing tours showing people features of the house.  I answered questions but really I don’t know nearly as much as she does. She has put heaps of work into the house and has really done loads of research. We had various signs around the house and the above PowerPoint was looping in the living room.

People seemed really positive and we had lots of nice comments. One advantage of having an open house was we (OK, Cathy with some help from a friend and my brother) got a whole lot of work finished off (e.g., finishing of the top of the stairs) and we (and it really was we, with help from friends and family) did a whole lot of tidying up. Our house has never looked as good!
