Volunteering at the Fair Share Festival

The Fair Share Festival is currently looking for volunteers. The organisation of the festival has been undertaken by a small group of volunteers and we hope to have a whole lot of people to help us over the weekend.

There are various roles people can undertake including:

  • Helping set up or pack up after each day
  • Staffing the front gate
  • Be ushers around the venue
  • Being a room monitor (e.g. making sure the presenters have everything they need)
  • Helping with the sound and audio
  • Participating in Slum Survivor (a simulation exercise over the weekend)
  • Promoting the Festival on the web and through social media.

For the volunteers there are:

  • Flexible 1-2 hour shifts
  • Free entry
  • A variety of jobs
  • A flouro vest provided (to keep – great for cycling!)
  • A certificate of participation on request
  • The opportunity to  play a much appreciated role in making the Festival a success!

For details see Get Involved at the Festival Webpage.
